Frequently asked questions

How does billing work?
School plans are monthly subscriptions billed by Stripe. You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel at any time from your school admin dashboard — no contracts, no minimum term.
What happens if we go over our seat count?
Nothing breaks — students still join and learn. Your dashboard shows an 'over limit' badge so you know to remove inactive students or upgrade. Once you're back under the cap the badge clears.
Do you offer a discount for whole-school deployments?
Yes — every tier already saves at least 75% versus the €9.99/month retail price per student. Larger schools (300+ students) save more again. If you need a custom plan, register your school and email us from the admin dashboard.
Can students keep their progress if we cancel?
Yes. Cancelling the subscription unlinks students from your school but keeps every account, every saved exam and every result. Students roll back to the free-tier limit (2 full exams + 2 part exercises per level) and can upgrade individually from their own dashboard.
Do students see the Grammar Refined brand?
On the Starter plan they see your school's name + a 'Powered by Grammar Refined' line on the join page, then Grammar Refined branding inside the dashboard. On Growth and above your subdomain is fully white-labelled — your logo, your colours, your name everywhere. Students never need to know we exist.
What about exam content quality?
Every Cambridge level (PET, FCE, CAE, CPE) is built from official Cambridge sample papers with locked banks, post-generation critique passes and the official Cambridge writing rubrics. The same content powers every plan — there's no 'school edition' that's secretly worse.
